NIKEL.CO.ID, JAKARTA – As the Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), considers raising royalty rates to balance state revenues with corporate contributions, the Indonesian Nickel Miners Association (APNI) is advocating for an alternative approach. The association suggests that the government tap into untapped revenue potential from cobalt and other ferrous commodities, which currently remain free from taxation.
